Having different shock and fork brands is a bit unusual, but suggest the Marin folks thought they could get more performance per pound by using a ROCKSHOX Deluxe shock. The shock is custom tuned to suit the bike, has the all important climb switch and a fancy Debonair sleeve.

Marzocchi Bomber Z2 fork and ROCKSHOX Deluxe Select RT Debonair rear shock.
Shimano 12 Speed drivetrain.
