The completely redesigned construction of Schwalbe Pro Radial tyres is based on a new carcass design. If you've been riding enduro for a while you've probably used Magic Mary's at some point, although the tread pattern is familiar, the new Magic Mary's feel completely different.
Unlike conventional bicycle tyres, the threads of the carcass are arranged at a more obtuse angle in radial tyres, changing the way the tyre deforms when it comes into contact with the trail. As a result, these tyres have a larger contact area than conventional mountain bike tyres and filter more small trail irregularities.
